We look to provide parents with information so they can support and enrich their child’s soccer experience. Unlike most parent education programs, we take the approach of telling parents what they should do to help their child succeed in soccer. We provide reasons for each positive behavior, statistics from experts, and surveys of youth soccer players. Parents learn why children continue to play soccer and why they may leave the game early.
This information is provided in a variety of methods:
- Post on the club
- Through email.
- Parent Information Nights
We also prepare your club coaches to help parents model proper behavior by guiding them with information for their parent meetings.
A club should always be open to parents about any change or direction being made. They don’t need to agree with everything but the club needs to be transparent as to why these decisions are made.
